To get my monthly ING SM bonus interest I need to make 5 transactions per month but I am avoiding the supermarkets as much as possible (due to covid) and not spending much money lately so I would like to find a way to utilise online micro transactions of very small amounts to meet this monthly requisite. These can be digital assets such as a 1 cent wallpaper, picture, sound file, etc.
What Can I Buy for $0.01 online?
Comments
you'll end up paying 3% transaction fee with CARD
3% of 0.01 even if rounded up would only be 0.01
Buy an groceries on Amazon? Might be a couple of dollars but still cheap.
AliExpress has those new user coupons which allow you to buy things for more or less a single cent
Not 1c but 5 $1 Amazon gift cards?
Might not be 1c but if you use YouTube regularly on your device(s), it's worth the money. It's a monthly bill so you'll only have 4 other transactions to worry about.
Load up your myki $1 at a time
OP is in Sydney though? Opal has a minimum top-up limit which definitely isn't $1.
I normally just go to Woolworths or Coles and do split payments of 5 transactions. So it can be done with as simple as just 1x 15c plastic bags.
But online might be hard yeah. you can try chemist warehouse - chupa chup 39 cents.
regarding bills you might be able to like using Snip or Beemit - BpayDonate!
Thanks for the suggestions guys. It doesn't seem possible to cut it down to 1 cent transactions.
I ended up risking covid and went down to Woolies and bought 5 pieces of fruit as separate transactions using the self service checkouts. I would never try this at Aldi for obvious reasons haha. You want to use the Beam it app and just simply move money between two of your accounts.
My method now is to use Beem it, remove my card then add it back which counts as 2 transactions. Do this 3 times over the month and it's no loss to yourself.
Can you use PayPal and send family/friends 1c ?
