Anyway, there is a way to get xbox deal,
Get cheapest month to month no contract sim only plan ( $55.00 )
Then now able to apply xbox deal, when place order xbox,
You can cancel month to month plan, due to no contract, anytime able to do cancellation
Anyone did this? And no issue at all??

is to go with Vodafone and get a PS5!
You have to pay out the xbox as soon as the plan is cancelled, I cancelled my plan and the following week got an invoice for the first month plan charge and xbox RRP fee
Also I did this a long time ago (Decemeber 2020) and xbox was delivered 15 days after I signed up, if I recall if you cancel the plan before the xbox is shipped they won't send the xbox, but maybe ask on chat, this was told to me instore by the rep but he prop wanted his commission

A lot of detail missing, but I'm assuming he's not currently a Telstra customer as you need to be one to be able to get a device on a repayment plan. So he's suggesting he could get a no-contract sim only plan for $55 per month, then sign up for the Xbox on a device repayment plan (separate from the sim only plan). Then cancel the sim only plan so he's only paying off the Xbox each month
Except once the plan is cancelled for the phone, the Xbox plan will still remain, or they may cancel that too and send you the entire bill for the Xbox.
They're not that silly.
Also, people who have ordered a Series X via Telstra in July and August are still waiting for theirs, so you might be waiting a while.
If you cancel your month to month plan before they ship it to you, they'll more than likely cancel your order as you're no longer a Telstra customer.
It only works if you have an ongoing plan with them for another device/service. Can't JUST have the Xbox.
I have the plan for the Series X through them and one of their lowest phone plans. It's a pretty good deal overall, and an easy way to get a hold of a Series X considering how hard they are to get right now.
Make sure there’s stock in Telstra rewards store, and you might have to pay out the Xbox in full if you cancel your plan
