Just wondering if there are any other keen fishers here and what sites or store fronts (in Sydney) are recommended. Not too fussed about customer service, just more on the price side of things.

    kmart and big w are often as good as anywhere for the basics, if you know what you want

    yes probably check Kmart and Big W- they have clearance sales as well which can save you further $$$

    Should've probably been a bit more specific earlier. Not after Kmart and Big W gear. More of Shimano, Daiwa etc.

    Anaconda, Compleat Angler, BCF etc when they have sales. Anaconda currently have a decent sale on, the Pflueger Asaro is a good reel for $60. There's MO Tackle online and a bunch of overseas stores like reelfishingdeals. reelflyrod or stillwaterflyshop if you're into waving the magic wand. Heaps out there
