Coles Flybuys Petrol Discount - How Much Was It?

I activated one of those deals from Coles to purchase a certain amount and get an 18cent per litre discount on fuel. It was valid for a shop from 2nd to 4th March. Does anyone still have the details and can tell me how much I have to spend to get the 18 cents per litre.

Once you activate this and delete the email there is now way to find out any more.

  • The email I got says $50 = 12c, $60 = 14c, $70 = 16c. No mention of 18c. Also note that this includes the normal 4c for $30 and is not in addition to that.

  • my email says $120-14c, $130=16c, $140 -18c

  • Thanks Ceceilia.

Thanks also greenpossum, but I can't imagine that Coles would be that generous. 16 cents off a litre for spending $70!

    • Maybe you can't imagine it, but I have it in black and white, er colour, in my mailbox. They have been pestering me for months to register and get the discount. Problem is I have difficulty getting up to $30, let alone $70, so I won't be using it. You're welcome to my discount, but unfortunately it's specific to my Flybuys account. Maybe you should "boycott" them for a while and they will come back on bent knees with better offers.

      • 18cents off a litre is OK for spending $140 when I probably need to spend close enough for a regular weekly shop. You must have some sort of one-off registration special.
        I can't epxpect any better.

        • No, they've offered me similar deals several times.

    • seems they check your average weekly shopping then they try to push your weekly spending, smart ass you coles

      • That what I was thinking - everybody gets a different offer depending on their spend. They are trying to condition us to spend more and more. But it may not be so smart - how much can you spend on groceries. You can stock up to get the discounts and then eventually you have to have a week or two off. What they do achieve is getting us to buy more from them and less from others (butchers, fruit shops, etc).

        • Yes, I'm sure that's the case.

    • Are you sure you didn't temper with the image? :p Spend $30 to get 12 cents off?

      • Kinda of difficult as it was on their website. But it's just an image, so it could have been for someone else, or for an old deal.

  • Incidentally for Sydneysiders, soon might be a good time to fill up, according to this graph:

Average prices have been trending up though. Also the last cycle was a short one. And they haven't been weekly for a long time, so the "what happened to our cheap weekday" whingers are confused.

  • the cycle is 11-days period got this in a news article last year but cant recall. it is usually on tuesday or friday
