I recently bought iRobot roomba 530 and loved it so much that I want to get the floor washing robot scooba 385. Would anyone know what is the best price on scooba 385 in Sydney? Thanks!

How many years extended warranty did you get and how much did you pay for it? I thought HN will replace the unit rather than repair it.
I think its 5 years in total the warranty. For irobots I was told Salton require all units to be sent to them for repair rather than replacement as many times it can be user error. I think I paid $600 for the unit and $85 for the warranty but don't have the receipt to hand to confirm.
Please be VERY careful of HN extended warranty.
I discovered when we had a camera that went back a couple of times under their extended warranty that it only covers repairs up to the value of what you spent on the item. ie, if a repair on a $600 item is deemed to be valued at $400, they will only cover another $200 total on it. In other words, in an extreme case, if you have to send an item back a couple of times within the first year of a 3 year extended warranty, they may well deem the item no longer covered under the extended warranty.
We've since queried floor staff a couple of times when making a purchase, and they are often not even aware that this is the way it works.
Many manufacturers seem to offer their own extended warranty these days.
I just posted up a deal for the Scooba :)
Make sure you check the reviews about scooba online. I heard most people had bad experience with scooba, that's why they are never popular.
I got mine mid last year with extended warranty from HN Auburn for just under $700 (can't remember exactly but i had to push hard for it). Been back for repair a couple of times but I'll still buy another one when it breaks after the warranty ends.
