Air Purifier AND Fan Product Suggestions

Hi there,

If you needed to buy (and fit) both an air-purifier and fan (for cooling) in a bedroom, what would be your product(s) suggestions?

Do you have any all-in-one recommendations or do you have any suggested product combos that work for you?

I don't need them to be "smart" devices.

Thanks in advance.

I know OzBargain hates them (because they are admittedly very expensive), but I've got a Dyson HP04 which handles air purifier, heat and fan all in one package. You can always save money buying a seperate fan, heater and purifier; but the convenience is enough for me. I don't want to worry about plugging in three different devices.

I have this in our study (work from home) and it's saved me over winter, not having to run the ducted heating for the entire house.

They make cheaper models I believe, which don't have heating or smarts, but my use case required heating and at that point there are cheaper alternatives. I love it, even despite its cost.

    • Thanks @thrillhouse. Really helpful comments!

  • From my experience, Dyson air purifier works. It manage to turns our misty house into clear livable in few hours during the last bushfire season. Not the cheapest option tho.

Got me one of these when the last bush fires were kicking off. Worked great. Monitor from my mobile, kick it into gear before I get home and the apartment is all sorted! Being up on the 32nd floor, it's the perfect attitude to cop the smoke drift. This little guy sorts it all out in a few mins.

Looks to have a pretty good price at the moment too…

  • Don't buy into the Dyson BS:

Quite simply, get a good purifier and a cheap fan from Bunnings and do yourself a favour.

  • Not a fan, but i have the Ionmax ION420 Air Purifier and its great when there bush fires around.
