I purchased my canon 550D with twin lenses 20 month ago including a Lowepro Pro Runner 300AW the size of the bag or backpack will depend how much you will want to carry at any one time when you are travelling. a small tripod, second lenz, battery chargers, cables, filters, external flash, battery pack adaptors. When I purchased Canon flash 430EXII via Kogan and carry AA batteries even that back pack becomes a little small. I did however purchase a camera bag from Aldi so that I could just carry the camera with no accessories. But definitely take the camera etc with you when you go to buy the camera bag. The SD Card sold to me was a Scan Disk Ultra 32 GB. The size was at my request as I was about to travel with limited download access. I have had no problems with the camera except the number of buttons you have to learn what each does. Some 20 of them.
Don't forget the bag must come with its own rain coat.anything for a dslr newbie?
should I get an sd card now or wait?
Get the high speed card if you want to shoot HD video, if noth then any should do, ive got the Ultra 32GB from ScanDisk, works fine with HD video.
what is the speed difference?
i have recently got my 550 and i have purchases the sandisk 16gb class 10 SD card from one of the earlier deals for approx $36..and got the lowepro 170AW camera bag..
