[PC, Steam] Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition - $25.98 @ Steam

350

It's been $2 lower on GOG and this is the equal lowest it's been on Steam. I think it's been a while since it was on sale.

It's also currently $28 on the PlayStation Store for a couple more days if that's your thing.

Best RPG of the last decade.
    Fight me.

You can create your own character.

Not only can you create your own character, the origin ones are great so I don't feel the need to, and the voice acting and narration wasn't necessary but incredibly welcome.

      • calm down son, you can make your own character >.>

Awesome, this has been on my list to play for a while, but couldn't bring myself to pay full price.

Ah I want this on my iPad hope it goes on sale there too!

  • I bought this when I posted it for ps5 last week.
My feedback after 4 hours of playing.
This rpg is quite slow paced. Progression is also slow.
The battles are extremely difficult even on easiest difficulty. I haven't died and got a game over yet but I've been left with my last character on a sliver of health many times.bso I'd advice to play it on easy.

I get all the raving reviews. But this rpg is probably too rpgy for me if that makes sense. You have to talk to NPCs all the time to progress. I'm still in the first area of fort joy and it can feel like a drag when needing to do all the quests. And from what I've heard doing side quests is highly recommended to proceed in the game without getting affected from the difficulty spike in later chapters.

If you have a massive backlog it's not a game I would recommend as I can imagine a heavy time sink in this. If you don't mind spending 100's of hours and want a game that is heavily focussed on story telling then it's worth the money.

    • Pillers of Eternity was far superior imo

    • this is one of those games you have to try and see if you'll like it
I cant say I am a fan of rpgs , im more of a FPS guy but I really like this game, so far I put in 100 hrs in it and am only on act 3, but there is something about the grind and the content developer put in is nothing short of amazing, you can discover things and tackle objectives from so many different points…..well worth the full price but might not be for everyone

    • From another perspective I'd highly recommend playing it on tactician if you're familiar at all with RPG's and min-maxing, by the mid game you'll be ultra-powerful and combat won't be fun at all on easy.

  • I wish it was this price on Xbox. One of my all time favourite games.

  • Highly recommend playing this with 4 people, despite what you might think the chaos is part of the charm.

    • I'm about 90 hours in and still on act 2 (although I could have progressed by now if I wanted to, but I'm trying to do as many of the quests as I can before moving on). It's hard enough trying to find that much time just to play it by myself! Even if I knew 4 people who liked this kind of game, God knows how I'd ever manage to get 4 people to commit that much time at the same time :P

    • Synchronised attacks can be devastating or hilarious :)

I have spent 3 hours before fighting an entire town of NPCs made of guards, shop-owners and animals flung at me

10/10 would waste my time again

  • I played this game a couple years ago, most games don't pull me in the next day but this one did. Last night I was playing Baldur's Gate on Android tablet and all I wanted to do was come back to this game.

This first one is okay, had too much reading which was improved with a voice actor update, however the sequel which you can play standalone is significantly better and hooked me in.

  • best RPG i've played in a LONG time.
    Mods make it even better.
