Hi everyone
So I bought the DT990 80ohm last week, and whenever I use it (with or without my fiio e10k), I get ear fatigue. If I use it for more than an hour, I will have a serious headache. Hence I’m selling it now.
Just wondering if is there any other options out there that is at the same price level, either open or closed back, and does not cause so much treble fatigue?
Is M50X a good option?
Thank you
Alternative to BeyerDynamic DT990 80ohm?

Thank you very much. I only use it at 30% of volume and it already hurt my ear so much
You're still in the break in period. I would give it another month.
Only other pair of cans I'd recommend in that price range are the X2HR https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/647929
How about the AKG k371?
Or should I put in extra dollars to buy the HD600?Never listened to the AKG's sorry. Not a huge Sennheiser fan, I prefer fun cans with bass.
I have had a pair of hd600s since the mid 90s, and i can honestly say they are my favourite headphones.
The DT990 250Ohm version?
What are you wanting to use the Cans for?
Senns from Drop - HD 58x Jubilee or HD6xx?
Again, depends on what you want them for and your listening experience. It's like food, partners etc.
Personal preference.. It's your personal preference…I think you might try to EQ it. Search up AutoEQ and get Harman curve.
With Beyerdynamic, I noticed I used to have ear fatigue too because the cup is just covering my ears. That makes my ears kind of hot over a long period. In addition, it is very tight to my head. I had to bend my headband a little so it is less tight.
I would suggest you try to give it a second chance. Try to loosen the headband (don't stretch it out too much) and Auto EQ. See if it helps.
Ear Fatigue is usually caused by 3 things in any combination, the pads being too hard, the headband being too tight, the volume being too high.
The first thing i would do is reduce the volume a good 50% and see how you go. With the other 2 sometimes it takes dozens of hours of use for it to conform to your head and become comfortable.
