  • Been waiting for a mi band 6 deal still since I missed the last one…

    • Got the mi band 6 on sale for $69 awesome upgrade but the mi 5 is still okay they have the 6 on sale right now on eBay plus

      • +2

$58.06 is the cheapest here i can see for aussie stock https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/184391675407?hash=item2aee99ae0f…

        • Excellent price it does have AMOLED and more screen on the 6 plus the sp02

          • +3

@Jjj888: I personally can't justify those features at an extra $32. When the mi band 6 was $39.95, that was a true bargain! To me, this is next best! My mi band 3 was approx $32 when i purchased it 3years ago.. So, that's now the price I aim for :-)

            • @kimba88: That's your choice I had my mi 5 for like 12 months before I upgraded…

              • @Jjj888: Oh nice..the mi band 6 does look nice though! Wish i got that $39.95 deal.. but fathers day is this weekend and my dad wanted a new band to replace his snapped one.. so i thought it was best to jump on this mi band 5 deal - a nice upgrade from the mi band 3 too.

                • @kimba88: I should have gotten it then.
No hurry, just gonna wait until a deal is on it again

        • I received some spam from AliExpress this morning for the Mi Band 6 from China:
          https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003199239733.html

<$30, but seller has zero feedback. Seems pretty cheap though.

          • @Tennessee Jack: Thanks for sharing!
Are the reviews even reliable on AliExpress? I've only ever seen them be 5 stars and don't pay attention to it at all anymore.

            • @S2: 0% feedback is risky. There was a scam on feeBay for Mi Band 6 recently and that was $50 with what looks like fake positive reviews (on $2 items).

Delivery estimate: Nov 22. Does look quite fishy.

              • +1

@netsurfer: If it's regular Chinapost, then that estimated date is probably fair. Sellers like to err on the side of conservatism with the way the post is these days.
Ali have been excellent as far as returns are concerned in my experience.
Reviews on AliExpress are mostly genuine, but this is a new seller and therefore has none. I prefer to read the words, rather than the star rating.
I've bought from new sellers before without issue.

                • +1

@Tennessee Jack: Everything this seller sells is at half price. The description on items are either lazy copy and paste or some are without any description. Unable to even get the store name or store details.

You prefer to read the words… there is no feedback on the seller yet.

    • Same! I decided to get the mi band 5 since its not missing much more. My mi band 3 has served me well - its the bands that have snapped.. the actual little unit is still kicking.. it just costs a fair bit to replace the bands, so I figured it was time for an upgrade - plus, it also makes a good fathers day present!

      • +1

$9 for new strap if local purchase or a lot less if from China. I opted for the new $9 strap as saw no reason to upgrade myself and cheaper than buying the upgrade. I also like older model and getting a month out of each charge.

        • Do you have a mi band 3? I'm lucky to get 5 days out of mine now.. And it takes several go's on the charger just to get it charging.. Not sure if it's an issue with my charger or the little metal strips on the mi band. Plus, my screen decided to get cracks through it one day when I was eating breakfast in the sun. I mean, it all still works, but for me, it was definitely worth upgrading over replacing the band which I've now done twice in the 3 yrs.

          • @kimba88: Try cleaning the metal contacts.

But as for only lasting 5 days…
it's the battery wearing out and not able to hold as much charge.

      Save yourself the money. https://youtu.be/jFrxr1LYU0I

  • $3.70 extra for the ebay 'insurance'

I never take up the offer but in this case it's pretty cheap.

    • What would the excess cost be to make a claim?

  • Nor sure if this is a genuine Xiaomi as lots of counterfeit in the market

Few years ago I bought a few pairs of Xiaomi headphones and 2 out of 3 I bought broken without a year. The genuine still working from local seller

Gearbite might be the only trusted seller

    • Got mine a few days ago, genuine, no NFC

      • Thanks. I won't get it without NFC

  • Any NFC on this?
