Looking for a New TV to Go with PS5 - Budget $3k

Hi All,

I recently picked up a PS5 and am looking to upgrade my old TV to take advantage. I'm upgrading from a 10 year old 40" Sanyo so basically anything I buy is going to be massive and excellent quality in comparison. I'm thinking 65" and mid range would be more than enough. Budget = $2k-$3K ideally but somewhat flexible. I would also use the TV for occasional YouTube/Netflix/streaming, but really the TV would only be used for a few hours per week (I have a young baby and am very time-poor).

I am in no rush to upgrade and would be happy to wait for Black Friday or Boxing Day sales if that's going to score me a bargain.

What options should i be looking at? From what I can gather on here LG OLEDs are very popular, and the SONY TVs are surprisingly not very PS5 ready yet? I get a bit lost with the large number of model variants so any help is appreciated!

    Excellent, thank you! And are these items likely to go on sale during big sales days such as Black Friday, or is it just worth getting at this price?

      LG C1 is highly recommended for next gen gaming and it hit sub $3k a couple of times before. If you are willing to wait, you could score a good deal during a big sale. It is your choice.

      I'm not sure. While it's likely they'll go on sale at some point, they are in very high demand so finding stock will be an issue and would presume there's less incentive to reduce them than other products that don't sell as well. I'm sure there's ways to get them cheaper than marked price though. Worth cross-shopping around and maybe search on here.

  Sony x95j will be released shortly, will still require to wait for a software update for VRR and ALLM, though the PS5 is waiting for a similar patch for these features to be added.

  How far will you be sitting from the screen. Any more than 3m, you should get a 75inch screen
