How can I get my gravatar set up?

Registered with ozbargain 1 month ago, but still haven't my gravatar set up yet. Not sure how to do this and I tried 2 ways:

  1. at my account, click "edit" and than click "Sign up Gravatar". When I do this, I can't use my ozbargain user name, it shows it is already registered. So I have choose a different user name and set up a account. Nothing is happening because I have noway to link my gravatar account with my ozbargain account.

  2. at my account, click "edit" and than click "Login to Gravatar" by use my ozbargain user name and password, it displayed "Incorrect email, username, or password, please try again".

Could someone help me with this please?

    Hi.

    Gravatar is actually NOT part of OzBargain service, but rather provided by Automattic and is used by many websites on the net, to associate your email address with an image. There's no data exchange between OzBargain and Gravatar except that it provides a profile image based on a hashed version of your email address.

    If you are getting already registered on Gravatar, that means you have already used the service before. You might wish to request a new password to login and then update your gravatar image.

      I read that to mean that his name that he uses on OzBargain has already been used by someone else on Gravatar.

        Gravatar only takes email address to sign up — that's your username there. So "someone else" would also happen to have the same email address. I wonder who that person is…

          Gravatar uses user name as well. I can't registered with my ozbargain user name, but I changed another user name and it works. I just don't know how to link my Gravatar account with my ozbargain account.

          From your account settings page, go to the 'Profile Avatar' section, and you should be able to log in to your gravatar account there (Log In to Gravatar).

          I believe @lovestation has already setup the Gravatar account. All he/she needs to do is to click on Refresh Gravatar from his/her account edit page, as Gravatar seems to be using over-aggressive caching…
