Esim Why Not Yet Available?

Why hasn't mvno offers esim yet? Back in march Telstra said it's available for them.

  • may be it costs/addional burden MVNO to get that service so that is not cost effective due to small market share. personally I don't see a point to use an ESIM.

Pretty much all the flagships/upper tier phones are now esim/physical sim which is really annoying for some people like myself who use two or more sims for work and personal especially with overseas sims which are physical.
The previous flagships had 2 physical sim slots which was so much easier to manage and swap.
One of the reasons why I held off so long upgrading from my note9 :(.

      • I thought even flagships have two slots in some models. I still use a S10 which has 2 slots, similar to Note 9.

    Because we are in Australia…
    Slow tech country…

  • I know that Telstra Vodafone and Optus do them!!
I just signed up to Optus $33 per month plan with esim, normally $45 plus first month free!!

    • Where is this $33pm?

      • Original plan is $45 per month but I was very nice to the agent on online chat and was offered this plan for $33 per month plus no charge for the first month.

        • I see I will try then.
Optus Flex $1 a day seems to be the best

  • Whats the benefit of an esim?

      No physical sim

  • Vodafone 365-day pack is currently on sale at $150. It does have e-sim available.

  • Weird that it was made available to telstra resellers 10 months ago and still nothing on Boost
    Woolies mobile has it
