Recently purchased a Mazda CX5 (GT), am told the wait time is approx 2 months (October). Located in WA. Wondering whether other OzBargain members have been told similar wait time/s for Mazda vehicles?

I will be waiting 8 to 10 months for my Rav4 Hybrid.Am now in my 6th month and no production date yet. Mazda seems to be doing a better job as there were more CX5 deliveries than Rav4's.

Yes I'm well aware of the chip shortage, that wasn't what I was asking for.
Sometimes you get lucky. I walked in and they had the new car in stock or 4 month way, I choose 4 month wait and it arrived in 2 months. Xmas 2020.
Not same car, but brother ordered a Mazda 2 sedan in February and also had to wait two months before it was delivered
Yea it can really just be luck, we ordered a CX-8 back in July and they happened to have one in the colour and trim we wanted on the way already. We picked it up 2 weeks later, we are in Perth.

Cx5 and Mazda 3 stocks are slim ATM
Hi OP, did you manage to get any discount on the cx5 gt?
No discount unfortunately, although I didn't push it that hard as they offered me an outstanding trade in valuation & I get to continue using my car whilst waiting for the new one to arrive. Plus, I am purchasing outright rather than through finance. Combine this with very low stock and at the moment bargains are few and far between.
If you want a bargain price I'd suggest using one of the buying services as they bid one dealer off against another.
Some people have been waiting 4-5 months for various cars…. and the wait time keeps growing.
