Are they as good as Kathmandu / macpac jackets?
I’ve never owned a down jacket, but went for this as an alternative to avoid the potential animal welfare issues with down. Both types are warm. I expect this is better in the rain (not supposed to get down wet) but I think down would be more breathable
I think Kathmandu is the best for Cold Weather, the Heli is good for winter and as it is lightweight you can wear everyday. I have a Macpac as well but it is not as good as the Kathmandu Heli for winters..
