  This card was readily available for a large portion of launch day of 6600 xt for $589. This is not a deal.

    It's price in the past doesn't exclude it from being a deal at a higher price in the present mate. Pricing is based on supply and demand in the present and in the current climate, whether you want to like it or not, prices are increasing slightly for most cards and that includes the 6600 XT.
