I have the SP40 and I can vouch that it is miles ahead of what you can get at Bunnings. The included 18650 cell is great and also rechargeable with the headlight unit. It's also only $3 more then this with the 10% discount code.
Thanks for the recommendation. Just bought one.
Is that the same as this one from AliExpress for 33.60?? Thanks.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33014058575.html?spm=a2g0o.p…Yes, same torch. Some prefer Amazon for the quick delivery and warranty return, others lower cost, longer delivery and warranty by ordeal. I got both my SP40 from https://www.sofirnlight.com/products/sofirn-sp40-headlamp-wi…
Do you have a 4000 or 5000k version? Do you have a preference on light colour? Cheers.
@bigspike: I have the 4000K version - a nice neutral tint. 5000K is a bit too white and 2700K is more like a wood fire orange. This pic https://imgur.com/OUqaNHk has 2700K on the left, 4000K in the middle and 5000K on the right. Not the best pic but gives you a rough idea
@Sillen: Thanks for the info mate.
I have this. Used for camping over the last few years. Quite useful to have the red night light while rummaging around in the tent at night etc.
Noticed you can get them from Amazon UK for cheaper though (if you happy to wait for delivery) .. https://www.amazon.com.au/Energizer-Vision-Focus-Headlight-L…I bought this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/640728 50 lumens less but comes with a torch.
https://www.amazon.com.au/WUBEN-Rechargeable-Flashlight-Wate… i recommend this one Wuben H1. similar to what sueyjitsu says, red light usefu.
You can get a better headlamp, Sofirn SP40 for $42 from Amazon including rechargeable 18650 and onboard charging https://www.amazon.com.au/Headlamp-Rechargeable-Outdoor-Flas…
1200 lumens max
450 lumens for 4 hours.
Lacks nite vision and digital focus (does that mean changing focus with fingers?)
