Good Monitor Arms?

I was told Ergotron LX are quite good, but is it $240 good?

Have two monitors but have been told to get two single arm ones. As a dual one, when moving one, will also slightly move the other.

The Amazon Basics one looks okay, but out of stock…

Any other recommendations would be helpful.

Requirements:
- Be able to pull forward a bit as my desk is quite wide.
- Okay/Good cable management

Varidesk monitor arms are excellent quality.

I have a single monitor arm on my 9kg 38” and it holds up perfectly. Their warranty is also exceptional. They replaced my whole arm for free after I threaded a screw by accident. One of the other benefits is it has a large sturdy base that evenly distributed the weight across your tabletop to minimise marks.

Cost is $200 for the double. You can probably find a discount code somewhere online as well.

Humanscale though depending on options they could easily be more the $240

It's buy-it-for-life item. When you amortize the cost over 20+ years it doesn't really matter whether it's $240 or $120.

I’ve got one of the Ergotrons for my 34” Dell, beautiful build quality, ergonomics and movement

  • I have an egrotron for an LG32’ . I like it and will buy again if needed

  • I have 2 of these ($99 each) and no complaints - https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/monitors/monitor-stands-…

  • Ended up going with Ergotron LX Black arms. 10 years warranty definitely sounds worth it.

Thanks for all your input guys! Appreciate it.

    • Hi, how has your experience been with the LX?

      • Haven't had issues with it personally. Haven't had to adjust it much either though. So I wouldn't be the best person to ask for opinions.
