  • I dont see any 802 ac wireless?

    • +6

I do. Wi-Fi 5 is the name for ac.

      • +1

my bad, I know 6 is ax, but I've never heard of ac being referred to as 5

        • +1

Pretty much came about with Wi-Fi 6 to simplify the names.

    • it has according to this: https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_11_lite-10665.php

I think you confused with WiFi 6 which is ax which is 5G model of this phone has

It is getting to the same price range as Samsung A52 (4G). But Samsung guarantees 3 years of updates, better camera and local warranty.

    • a52 one of the best mid-range phones with au warranty and one of the best cameras in the class

    • And zero custom rom development.

So after 3 years you're fugged.

      • Maybe, but 3 years is quite a long time for a mid-range phone. Most likely you can offload an OLD Samsung Phone easier than Xiaomi/Poco/Realme/Vivo.

        • +1

The point being that vendor updates aren't a point of difference, provided that you're happy to unlock your bootloader.

The large established custom rom scene is actually one of the draws of Xiaomi handsets.

This is for the 8GB version, your link is for the 6GB version and also OOS.

  • It's marginally better in the camera department than the redmi note 10 pro but either same/loses in everything else.

    • +1

120 amoled on the note 10pro, so it's better than the 11

The Redmi might be too big/heavy for some people.

      Xiaomi Mi 11 = 157 g, 160.5 x 75.7 x 6.8 mm
      Redmi Note 10 Pro = 193 g, 164 x 76.5 x 8.1 mm

  • +1

Note 10 Pro better in most specs other then ram

Just about, although the Mi 11 Lite has a brighter and obviously smaller screen, it also weighs less and is thinner.

I'm not wishing to be a kill-joy, but I had a poor experience when buying an Asus phone from Banggood for $220 three years ago. After a month of usage the screen packed in. I knew the phone was working because I could ring it, just the light wouldn't come on.
I contacted Banggood for assistance and they gave the impression they'd honour a warranty. They suggested that I get a local repair shop give a quote and print it off so Banggood could see it. The screen itself was $100 and the fitting $80 and GST $18, so basically the cost of the handset.
Banggood offered me $30 compensation and $50 in discount vouchers. I tried to get a better settlement but they weren't interested. The discount vouchers were useless because virtually everything they offer is "discounted" so ineligible for vouchers. A year later I saw an item I wanted in their store and the $50 credit had expired. As it turned out I bought a screen from aliexpress for $60 and had it installed for $40 in Bangkok.

    • Had a near identical experience. Mini PC off Banggood developed problem, got quote, Banggood lowballed the quote and sent me cash. Don't think actually getting it repaired was ever a real option.

I got one of these for my mother last week. Nice and lightweight, good screen, easy to use. Recommended!
Took about 2-3 weeks to arrive.

  • Question for owners out there, had anyone enabled VoLTE on Telstra from one of these or other Xiaomi models?

  • How does this compare to Mi Note 10 Pro? Similar specs and price

  • I have the mi 11 Pro, which has the 1 inch camera sensor. The photos/videos are ridiculous out of it and i regularly use a a7 FF camera.

unlocking it however was a bit of a hassle.

  • Awaiting Mi NOTE 11 release!

  • I’m thinking of getting this phone but there is an option at check out to pay $7.78 for shipping insurance (compensation if item is lost or damaged). Since I pay using PayPal and have PayPal buyer protection, is paying this $7.78 just a waste of money and giving Banggood more money for nothing?

    • If paying via PayPal there's no need for shipping insurance.
