Touché!
The price has dipped
This was done due to recent house price increases. Perfectly Balanced, as all things should be.
Wow that's cheap. Wish I was in Vic.
Do you really though? Think about it, really think about it
Dude…$6 avos…
Couldn't be much worse then Sydney right now.I know, this is crazy price!
I just wouldn't change cities for avocados is all.
Phlume is in sydey… Vic is heaven to him/her… heck im sure he'd even consider Tasmania (unplugs microphone cord)
Melbourne > Sydney
Where?
Not even much time for those 5km or less near there
Hahaha we need more than just [VIC] these days, we need the postcode.
Some postcodes cover a pretty big area. Need address and one of those maps with the 5km radius.
So an ms paint diagram of the stores radius? 😂
I'm really missing my closest Henry's Mercato at Frankston Bayside. Their produce is so fresh, huge range and prices are amazing!!
Can't wait until lockdown over!
As a local I'll miss the free parking at the shopping centre when the lockdown is over.
Tastes like Haas
Is it only at one store?
5 km !!!!
Is anything within 5km of Rowville?
My house for one….Henrys is my go to veggie shop. Always good produce and deals there…
Yeah plenty of things within a 5km radius of Rowville, what are you looking for lol.
I love how cheap avos have become lately. I bought a few dozen over the last few months with some being as low as 5c each.
if only there was a store that price matched.
Can't risk going more than 5km for avo'sNice. Cut into pieces and put it in a blender, add full cream milk, add sugar and finally a roasted almond.
Blend it to the perfect and delicious thick smoothy.
A single almond?
Lol. I meant to say a handful of
God bless the long maturity cycle of avocados bringing on oversupply after 5 years of undersupply
Melbourne cafes still charging $20 for avo on toast?
Take-away?
According to treasurer, its match with the house prices ;)
Wow that's 30c each yet people are happy to pay $10 minimum for smashed avos? I assume these will need to be used up very quickly
The quality of avos this year has been superb. I've only had one or two over the past few months that haven't been perfect.
2017 - "Want to buy a house? Better stop eating avo on toast"
2021 - "Want to buy a house? Better start eating avo on toast"What does one do with so many avocados? How to preserve/cook/etc before they all go bad?
Just eat them
I find you can keep them in the fridge for quite a while (much much longer- maybe 2-3 weeks and would still be good) vs leaving it in the pantry which goes soft in a few days
Can't even give mine away here in WA got 6 trees in backyard been bumper crop this year. Albeit mine are Reed n Sheppard not hass.
Do you need type A and B avo to fruit ?
Nope we planted trees from seeds about 15 plus years ago now they're about 4 to 5 metres really..
How long did the seedling take to fruit?
I bought a grafted one years ago but no fruit maybe because I’m in Melbourne. The variety is called Bacon I think or something like that.@Veebee88: Within 1 year
Reed are the best, tastier and twice size of hass but suppliers can fit only half the amount in a box n they sell per box so rarely do you see reed or Sheppard, reed are round not like hass , Sheppard same shape as hass but twice as big as well
I’m at the store now; they’re selling the boxes for $3 each!
Are they all quite ripe already though?
are you still at the store?
I love avo, shame I'm not in VIC.
Goddamit, that’s my local grocery I buy from all the time. Did my shop yesterday including buying avocados (because I love them). Arghhh
Best avo deals there!
A few months ago they had $5 for a large tray. I was eating avocado every day for a month…I was known as the avocado girl at work 😅
Holy guacamole!
