  Seems pretty pricey. Weren't most PS4 games RRP this price?
  I know it's next gen and all but it seems like a pretty steep price increase from last gen

    Sony Studio games RRP is $124. Games are also often more expensive at the start of a new generation.

      Usually Sony's first part stuff has a lower RRP than everything else. $89 is not a bargain, even if it was a new release.

      I suppose that's the early adopter's price premium. I probably won't get a PS5 until half-way through the generation when the library is bigger, stock isn't in shortage and game prices aren't so expensive

        EB games' initial PS5 pre-order deal was pretty good. After trading in PS4 Pro, controllers and games, only paid $50 for the PS5 console out of the pocket.

        Only bought one PS5 game so far (when it was discounted). There is quality of life improvement for PS4 games on PS5. It's good that I am not a souls fan.

      Sony has increased their game prices by $10 in the US so this isn't some sort of early increase, it's here to stay sadly.

        Were getting a price hike from $90 to $125, that's almost 40%
        US prices would be $60 to $70 which is a 17% increase

        Edit: It appears RRP for Last of Us Part 2 for PS4 was $100 so it's a 25% price increase for first party games

          @FireRunner: Price hikes are always higher here, in Europe they have like a $25 USD increase which is kinda awful. PS4 games were usually $99.95 at like EB but they would usually sell for $69-$79 but now it's $109 and it seems like a "sale" is around $89 so overall it's a pretty big increase.

  I bought this game months ago when it was on special at Big W for about the same price. It's a good game and the updated visuals were great but I agree that the price is too high still.

  Amazing game! Anyone who got into the SoulsBorne series late and didn't get to play this, should definitely pick it up.
