Advice needed - Buying Dell Single Monitor Arm vs alternatives

Hi all,

I am thinking of purchasing the Dell Single Monitor Arm (Link https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-single-monitor-arm-msa2…) to complement my 27 Inch Dell Gaming monitor i purchased a few months ago (https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721….

Has anyone experience with this monitor arm? I have seen some reviews online some people say its good. I may consider upgrading to a widescreen 34inch monitor down the track (a few years at least). Are there others i should consider, like the Ergox?

Would greatly appreciate your advice.

Waiting for this one to come back into availability and down in price. Comments around here suggest that it's suitable for the S2721DGF.

    • Purchased in December 2019 for $39.95 from Amazon Australia.

I'm very happy with the quality, range of adjustment and mobility of this monitor arm, it does the job for my 27" monitor. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see prices like this for a long while now that COVID is messing everything up.

      • It's $4 now. Is that a good price to buy it for?

        I meant $44.

I've done my research now and found them to be $30 on sale in 2019 and the cheapest these days is around $37, so even at $44, that's not too bad.

I reached out to Clear mounts to see if they'll put another sale up on ozbargain. Fingers crossed.

  • I have this one and its quite good.

  • I have the Amazon H80 and F80 as well as the Dell arm - the quality of the dell one is just miles better than the cheap amazon ones.

It's designed for Dell monitors so it clips onto the monitor and doesn't need screws - but does include the VESA mount for non-dell monitors
It has a nice built-in adjustment guide to balance the spring vs monitor weight
My amazon ones tend to tilt forward over time as the screws holding the monitor don't hold as tight which needs regular adjustment - with a 27" monitor
Dell just feels more solid, smoother and well built

Also being a 3 year warranty I trust it more with my nicer monitor - did pick it up for around $100 after discount codes at one point

    • Seems like a solid choice! Thanks for the advice Blonky. I'm curious to know where i can find the discount codes

      • Could also try live chat if there's no current codes, have had some easy discounts that way
