Telstra Ending Unlimited International Calls on Prepaid Mobiles. Options?

Hi, I notice Telstra is changing the inclusions in their prepaid mobile plans. $30 and $40 plans have only 300 and 500 minutes for zone 1, far less for other countries. I usually don’t check but I did. Any suggestions for alternatives? Or are others likely to follow suit as well?

How much data do you need? If 10GB per month is enough, Coles Mobile yearly plan works out to be about $10 per month for unlimited calls. https://colesmobile.com.au/home/left-image/product/8

Boost mobile, Telstra owned, telstra network

    • I'm with them. They got split up further like June 2020, so I've been told. There's basically no-one in their customer service centre, and their online system sucks.

So I can't recommend them anymore.
Not since it took me over 12 days to get in contact with them, when I was trying to transfer a card into my account. And still VoLTE doesn't work, so I have No Call Reception in certain areas, despite having strong +4G connection.

When my account ends, I'm seriously thinking of going with someone else. Maybe an Optus-based MVNO that has Unlimited Calls/Text, enough Data Allowance, at cheap rates.

    • Boost just changed their international call inclusions.
Everyone was changed over in mid august.

  • Also mobile has unlimited international calls

  • I use Aldi Mobile at $25 / month. Does all the international calls I need. UK, France, NZ, Canada with no timing. Other destinations are included but those are the ones I am interested in. Get the SIM at your local Aldi. They do porting in and (I assume) out. My brother used it last time visiting from Canada and he found that even though ALDI is a Telstra MVNO there were places in western QLD where Telstra worked but not Aldi.
