BYO phone plan

Hi my brother is looking for a cheap BYO mobile plan. He is in tamworth, NSW. He is currently chewing through $80 a month in prepaid credit on texts messages. would probably be better if it was cancel at any time but i'm sure he'd go on contract if it was cheap enough. thanks in advance.

There's also Live Connected- search them for reviews and stuff.

    • they are for low users tho…

@pin4e check your isp, if you are with exetel or tpg, they have awesome deals for mobiles, exclusive for existing customers.

      • Live connected has high usage plans. Though I do not think the $20 sim cost and quit w/ 1mo notification fits well with most prepaid users.

      • My ADSL was with Exetel so I put my mobile on with them as well but have changed mobile to TPG. DId side by side tests and data ping and throughput is much better on TPG. Can get mobile accounts with them without using their other services (I don't use their ADSL but I did have an old calling card with them in the past)

  • Woolworths prepaid

    $29 = $500 Value*

$250 to any network (ex Pivotel)
$250 to any Optus or Woolworths Mobile within Australia
    45 day expiry
    5GB data – that’s approximately^ 30,000 Facebook® pages visits, 10,000 Google searches, 2,000 minutes on YouTube, 100 hours of internet surfing, 16,000 Twitter messages, and 16,000 email pages~
10% off* your recharge when you present your registered Woolworths Everyday Rewards card in participating stores
Who's Who Tone* - a special tone that lets you know when you're calling another Optus or Woolworths GSM mobile.

You can get 10% with rewards card and other discounts/promos

    • The mobile broadband on Woolies mobile is sloooooow. Even though the quota is high most people would struggle to use 5GB in a billing cycle.

      • its 2G isnt it?

Please stay away from woolies mobile….(leave more data for me hehe)

Actually you say its Optus but not all Optus resellers have the same level of subscription, I was with Extel & shifted to TPG because their ping & throughput was a lot better than exetel despite them both being Optus network.

No basis for this except experiential but if you don't need high data plans stay away from the operators that are offering them as Snappy1234 ( :-P )is sucking up all the bandwith you want to be using..

    • If you buy their 2 dollar sim card at the same transaction is HALF price and cheaper if you have Rewards card …you can stock up on a couple ..Vouchers do expire on the First of November,2012. Had 6 myself .

  • Get a handle on network coverage before you bother narrow down selections, esp. in the Bush.

Amaysim UNLIMITED if you don't need Telstra coverage - $39.90 a month prepaid, includes unlimited calls, text and phone internet, now including calls to 13, 15 and 18 numbers which most don't include.

    EDIT
I've just come accross this - They're running a 'leap year' promo whereby the first month is only $10

These sort of offers do turn up from time-to-time on the daily deals sites

  • Optus has a prepaid unlimited plan that is $1 per day. So essentially it's $365pa or $30.41 per month.

    • It's only $1 per day if you only use it every second day. Make just a single text in a day and it will cost you $2. Every day that you do anything at all with your phone costs you $2.

    • Optus has a prepaid unlimited plan that is $1 per day

How could a $2 per day plan possibly be classed by ANYBODY as "$1 per day"?

      ROFL.

The best unlimited are $40 for Boost or $39.90 for Amaysim.

For me, the $11 or $16 LiveConnected plans are unlimited enough. I use the $16 one
