Played this free from epic store a few months ago, just wow, loved the game. Would love more games like this full of history.

    • In addition to the history, the game itself would still be great if it was completely fictional, but a lot of the featured towns, castles and landscapes are pretty accurate representations of whats actually there in real life.

Pretty fun game, you do need a decently ok computer to run the game though. The mechanics and gameplay are quite in depth, requires an hour or two to master the controls. Highly reccomend though, very immersive and fun.

  • Played a cracked version years ago - was fun

Do yourself a favour and get the real version, support the developer if you found it fun.

    • 3 years ago? That's how old the game is

  • Thanks - Bought

  • Awesome experience!

Developed by a small studio so don't be too harsh on it. Great story, refreshing gameplay (probably polarising). Love immersive rpgs? Give it a go. Looking for action packed gameplay? Skip.

I love to sneak attack the guard late at night, and throw the corpse under the bridge to hide the evidence and wait until another guard to come pass and kill him and throw him under the bridge as well and repeat. i know i am sick. lol

    Henry be praised!

highly recommended, the most immersive RPG I've played so far. Does anything come close to it?

    • +2

Not exactly the same immersive RPG and doesn't come close to this KCD in terms of gameplay mechanics, but Mount and Blade II Bannerlord? Might give you the same feeling/scratch the same itch. The first Mount and Blade I played for hours on end, very fun.

thanks for that, might give it a go. kcd was by far most immersive

      • yep, yep, got 600+ hours in Warband, 280+ in Chivalry… was hoping there is something I've missed.

I put Bannerlord away for now, after playing a bit at launch, now really enjoying Chivalry2, despite they stuffed match making a bit with their last patches.

Nothing but great things to say about this game. Gave me a feeling I've not felt since firing up Morrowind in 2003. The world feels so alive, reactive, and surprising. Literally the opposite of Cyberpunk 2077 where none of your actions feel permanent or impactful.

    Go to a nearby forest.
Strip your noisy armor in favor of hunting gear.
Kill a deer and a few rabbits.
Loaded with meat, you can only walk - no running or horse riding for ya lousy poacher!
Get ambushed by a small group of thugs.
Die within seconds because you are slow and without any armor.
    Try again.
Get noticed by guards, who will chase you for poaching.
    Try again.
Fall down a cliff while going backwards.
    Try again.
Now you succeed and spend the next 10 mins trying to find people rich enough to buy all the meat you have!
