I just received the following email from Telstra. I got the free pack that was posted as a deal and ordered a couple of extra tags however to be honest they never really worked that well for me and the app seemed fairly buggy so I'm not surprised to see this.

We wanted to let you know that we are discontinuing Telstra Locator from 19 November 2021.
What this means for you
As a Telstra Plus Gold member, you received a complimentary subscription for Telstra Locator. We can see you have not activated the offer, so this change will not affect you.
What's next?
If you have downloaded the app, please manually delete it from your device and dispose of any tags at your local recycling centre or your nearest Telstra store. If you do nothing, the app will remain on your device and will stop working.If you purchased a Telstra Locator in the past 12 months, you will see a credit on your bill by November 2021.

That's strange how you're getting 5,000 points, my email stated they are giving me 20,000 points
