      Gerry won’t be happy.

Great. Just spent $500 last week

    • +5

Provide us with some inspiration, what did you sink $500 for? The misso keeps getting frustrated at the sheer number of packages that gets delivered every couple of days for weeks after a big order 😅

        Tesla accessories

        • +1

Tesla accessories a great way to blow money on Ali.
Just a wild guess, break pad covers or spoiler?

          • @dngo: Pretty much all the accessories I could find except the spoiler. That’s currently saved in my cart.

  • Are singles day sales better than this, or do codes get released on singles day? (11 Nov)

    • +1

Yes and no. Sometimes sellers will jack the prices during events like Singles Day so you end up paying a little bit more. These coupons are 100% AliExpress so the stores take no hit from them.

  • I have never purchased anything from them. Wanted to purchase a dog carrier a few days ago but after reading the reviews on AliExpress from Product review, I decided not to go ahead. anyone having experience of Dealing with AliExpress? how are they in warranty, refunds,…. if we don't get the items we ordered?

    • +2

As I always say people always share their bad experiences and rarely their good ones. AliExpress itself is a marketplace of Chinese sellers much like eBay and many people ordering from them haven't ordered from China before.

Products can take weeks or months to arrive depending on the shipping. Overseas so warranty is pretty much non existent and the dispute process for refunds depends on the issue. There's always PayPal for worst case scenarios.

      • how long do we have after the purchase to claim from Paypal if anything goes wrong? the item I was looking at had a 3 months timeframe for delivery.

        • 180 days I'm pretty sure. Sometimes it's worth paying an extra dollar or so for ePacket shipping. If they use Cainao Super Economy that should take a month too. Typically you want to avoid China Post.

Maybe see if other sellers have it? Do note they charge GST at checkout so it can end up more costly.

    • I've only ever had one item not arrive in time and I was refunded on request. It then arrived 2 days later (so a free $10 item for me). I've also only had one item arrive that didn't work as intended and I was refunded ($20 item). I have purchased items up to the value of $250 from them. Depending on global issues items can arrive as quickly as 2 weeks but it's often 3 weeks. My life was significantly impacted when the government started charging 10% gst on these orders :( I miss the glory days on parity USD and no gst :( :( :(

I purchased a radio product a few months ago shipped from china. The seller sent the wrong model product. Aliexpress made the seller send me the proper model and I got to keep the incorrectly product and also had a free gift thrown in.
I'm sure your experience may vary, but for the seller I was dealing with the shipping was really fast, and while they tried to get me to accept the incorrect model initially they sent the correct item once aliexpress gave them the ultimatum. The seller was trustworthy and legit; they were just in disbelief they stuffed up, but it happens and I was understanding.

I get the impression that since aliexpress is a marketplace, they put the onus on the seller to fulfill their obligations or likely get a ban. I have a fair bit of trust dealing on there now after that.

  • Does anyone know if these coupons will be approved for cashback?

    • +2

All my recent ones were approved with Cashrewards. Once you receive your order make sure you confirm its received on AliExpress. You'll get rejected cashback if it's left too long.

  • AliExpress is pathetic for following up with old orders. I can excuse the delivery time, I understand. But the lack of communication and the fact that they close enquiries without solving it is scummy. I've been waiting for a package for around six months and now I don't think I'll get it ever.

    • -3

Then why upvote for this platform ?? i have similar feelings towards this scam platform, their support is a scam, legit.

if you have been waiting for a package for 6 months, contact your bank and do a chargeback, Get your money from them back. and DONT DEAL WITH THIS scamming company again. They will never support buyers, (because they loose money or transaction percentage from seller's sale)

Meanwhile I've done 3 disputes this year without issue for sellers marking the product as shipped when it wasn't.

The lesson there is sellers with less than 95% feedback usually can't be trusted.

        • -3

Yes whatever anyone says, personal experience speaks to itself most. Not going to shop with this fraud company ever even if they offer 99% discount, they will always rip customers.

Lol. So much ignorance in the comments. As mentioned above, AliExpress has good and bad sellers - like every marketplace.

In other words, if you are a boomer, AliExpress is the online version of a Westfields shopping centre, with good and bad sellers. It is not necessarily "Westfields" fault when things go wrong. Due diligence (that means switch on your brain) is required before making your purchase. Just like real life.

    • The problem is when I got a bad seller AliExpress told me to wait for double the estimated delivery date before I could open a dispute. That’s 3 months from the date of order….. Strongly recommend you to use PayPal if you have to buy something that can only be found on AliExpress.

      • They told you or it wouldn't actually let you? I can open a dispute 10 days from when it's marked as sent.

        • It would not let me. In the app when I tried to open a dispute the area was greyed out. I eventually couldn’t be bothered to wait and went with PayPal dispute process. Proved me right that item after 6 months has not arrived yet.

          • @wtfnodeal: I think I understand why. After X amount of time the order is marked as complete and then you only have a few days after that to log a dispute. AliExpress won't release the funds to the seller until an order is marked as complete or delivered.

      • was this during last year(year 2020) between March to August?

        • April 2021. Does it matter anyway?

    • How dare you marginalise boomers. I want to speak to the OzBargain manager!

  • -3

Do not shop with them because of extremely sh*t service of this platform, their support is like a scam, always will side will seller in any case,(even with all proof from buyer showing the wrong doing by seller) I have stopped using this for years, after being sick of having to do chargebacks from banks, who are only savior of your funds.

    • Unsure why are you getting downvoted for this comment. It is true that the AliExpress dispute system is rubbish and you need to get PayPal to interfere to get your money back from those dodgy sellers.

      • -3

Too many doggy people here trying to support AliExpress as always mate.

Negative votes probably from people holding shares in BABA, who cant handle any bitter truth.

  • Can we make multiple transactions with same code?

    • +1

Last time I remember a code could only be used once by each account. Unsure about this time but I guess creating another account will solve the problem?

      • How about using multiple codes?

        • Only 1 code is acceptable at each checkout. I am unsure if a different code can be used at the next checkout after using one of them previously though.

  • When does this start? is it 3pm AEST?

    • Should be 5pm.

  • It works! for now

  • Just used the $7 off $50 one and it works.

    Thanks OP.

  • $7 and $13 seem to be done.

    • yeah im salty :'(

  • damn i used the code before and it worked then went to dinner to think of getting smth and now its gone :/ devo

    • +1

I'm with you there. I saved the $50 coupon as I could get it cheaper with Select coupons. When I loaded up my cart again… expired.

      • yeah actually devo :'( kinda lost motivation to grab these now

        • +1

This has also killed my soul was about to checkout, worked an hour prior and then it was gone ugh

  • None of these have worked for me.

  • +1

Nothing is working anymore even the US$23 off US$190, US$30 off US$250 Spend

    • +1

Yep, were working yesterday, and I hesitated, and now no longer working for me either.

  • Bought something the other day from a seller with 92.7% positive rating. Now the seller asks for $10 more postage fee than the $10 I already paid for. Any suggestion on what should I do?

    • Cancel normally

      • Yeah maybe I can wait for the next promo code for Aliexp before making another purchase. Will probably leave a bad review to warn others about the dodgy seller.

        • Best thing to do. I made about 20 orders and have 3 with similar scams already.
