  I agree. It's definetly not worth the RRP.
  
  I have the Santoku knife. It is very comfortable to hold and quite accurate to use, but the metal is quite soft and goes blunt very quickly. I am sharpening mine nearly fortnightly. It's definetly not true Japanse knife steel.
  
  If you can get the Santoku or Chefs knife for a good price, I'd say it's worth while.
