Or if things are being made back in OZ
Agree with both of those points… Kinda thought this might have happened earlier, but guess C-19 held some of the pricing stable at the time.
New shipments, shortage of some components etc… makes sense.
Like so many other devices, items/things in general. Sign of more to come!
I think other manufactures like Sunbeam and Russel Hobbs would follow suite as well if that the case. I mean look at the mobile phone industry. A mid-range phone is now considered to be $700-800, despite what OS your a fan of.
To be fair, there are no name toastie makers at Kmart for $7.50, so they aren't the only options.
Bought 10, thanks…
The silly thing is, people would be happy to pay a decent amount for things if they were made in Australia, supporting Australian jobs. I know I would.
Shame my coffee machine, toaster and the likes are not driven by a Droid OS! :(
Might need to look at more smart devices!
just so you know, those are essentially Breville house brand at different market segment so they'll all be the same.
I thought Kambrook was the only Breville house brand….
Surprised it wasn’t sooner.
Said this last month. Containers out of china are 10 times the price this time last year. We are currently paying 8000 USD for a 40ft.
Inflation is going to hit like a brick soon
I wonder if this will extend to Kambrook items also. We’ve found these to be made by Breville anyway but much cheaper - for example Kettle at Big W which looks similar to Breville https://www.bigw.com.au/product/kambrook-pour-with-ease-kett…
Interesting old company Breville Group.
Breville, Kambrook, Sage…
Good Aussie company… Missed a buy op at $11 back in March. Doh! 🤦♂️
Been on the watch list ever since!
The only direction the AUD is going is down to the right as it has been since 1966.
The AUD has lost 92.6% of its purchasing power and will eventually go to zero.
I made this forecast back on 7th August - price increases in most things are going to come fast and high
I’d be a lot happier if it was because of rising wages…
