Looking for recommendations on a 55" tv purchase.
Can get the TCL C715 for $895 or the new P725 for $868
what is the better option?
or could you recommend better alternatives for less than $1200?

What do you mean the newer 2021 with hdmi 2.1 is worse? Genuinely curious I might shop for these at xmas for my ps5.
Hisense not a consideration?
it is but I have heard that VIDAA isn't worth the hassle in comparison to an android tv?
Just depends really.
If your just going to use the apps for Prime, YT, Netflix etc, they are all on VIDAA and work just fine!
I believe Hisense also offers Droid in some of their models now as well…Nothing stopping you from plugging in a Chrome Cast and FetchTV box or the likes also. 👍
Just another option.
What are those links and why are they expired?
Search TCL in this group and see my post. Buyer beware. My TCL is a shocker as are TCL and The Good Guys.
I just picked up a 55C715 for $768 from Betta. I'm really loving it.
C715, the C series is QLED, the P series is not. C series also has a faster refresh rate and is slightly brighter (so does HDR10+ instead of HDR10).
Only advantage with the P series is an updated Android setup. Could just buy a Chromecast instead if you want that.
New one has HDMI2.1, but I don't think you'd get much use out of it anyway with the worse display.
