Want compact charger with 2 USB-C ports for MacBook Air and iPhone.

Which of these is better quality?

Belkin or HeyMix?

The HeyMix is the better charger. Which is copied from Baseus.

To charge your Air you need to use USB C 1 as it supports 45W output when charging both devices. Than you can use either of the other 2 ports to charge your iPhone.

    Output:

    Type-C 1 65W Output: DC 3.3-11V/3A,5V/3A,9V/3A,12V/3A,15V/3A,20V/3.25A Max

    Type-C 2 30W Output: DC 3.3-11V/2.7A,5V/3A,9V/3A,12V/2.5A,15V/2A,20V/1.5A Max

USB 30W Output: DC 4.5V/5A,5V/4.5A,9V/3A,12V/2.5A,20V/1.5A Max

    · Two ports support 63W(Max) when charging at the same time

    Type-C 1 + Type-C 2 Output: 45W+18W(63W)

    Type-C 1 + USB Output: 45W+18W(63W)

    Type-C 2 + USB Output: 5V/3A 15W

    Type-C 1 + Type-C 2 + USB Output: 45W+15W(60W)

  • For the small difference in price i'd definitely go with the belkin. Known reputable company who makes quality electronics.

Heymix is a far newer chinese entrant and i remember seeing their first deals on here, the comments had plenty of reviews of faulty products, or it breaking relatively quickly.

Plenty of chinese brands that make good products with long established histories (Ugreen and blitzwolf for example), but i dont plan on buying anything from heymix at this stage. Usb cables, sure, but electrical products definitely not.

The other commenter said heymix is copying Baseus, but the products look different enough that i wouldnt be comfortable saying it's the same without concrete proof.

You may consider this gan charger, it is really compact.

    • OK, I have ordered this one, as it comes with PD cable etc.

      Fingers crossed.

I have both of these chargers (plus the one M27 mentioned above). I like the Heymix for travel, and I leave the Belkin at home for powering my WFH laptop.

What I like about the Belkin is that it does not disconnect the ports when you plug in a second device into the other port. The Heymix will do this momentarily while is has to re-calculate the power split across the ports.

Conversely, the Belkin does not support PPS, so if you have a recent smartphone like a Galaxy S21 or Note 10 it will not charge at the maximum rate (25W and 45W respectively). The Heymix does support PPS.

I don't have any issue with the build quality on any of these chargers.

    • Thanks for that…
