My situation is as follows.
Currently on a welfare payment, but not getting a dime after I report my fortnightly income (even after earning below threshold some weeks due to lockdown). Today I applied for the covid disaster payment and got lower than anticipated.
So I have a couple of questions .
1.how does the covid disaster payment work, if you are on a welfare payment ?
For prior lockdown periods , do I need to reapply or will this automatically be paid accordingly? (Does prior conditions apply to these payment periods? Eg. assets, welfare payment or annual leave)
OK my last question is if i lose more than 20 hours worth of work but am on welfare payment (getting zero from this payment). How is the covid disaster payment calculated? eg. you're on a welfare payment you only get $200 flat or is it based on hours lost prorata ?
I appreciate any help anyone can offer, just need better clarification.
Thanks again .
