Got an email from FOXTEL's Social Media Coordinator.
We have recently noticed an offer of a free AFL remote on behalf of FOXTEL appear on your site. We can confirm that this is an incorrect offer, and has gone directly to a small group of subscribers only.
And then request the offer to be removed from OzBargain. I guess those requesting the remote won't get them either.
how is it only a small group of people when in the T&C's it says ' one free AFL team remote per subscriber household. And that page can still be accessed by the public.
I would think those people who put their account numbers in should be ok.
Only time will tell.
Even with completely valid details that align with their 'rules'; I'm not 100% confident my screen-shot will be enough proof of the offer.
Just googled and put in my details, it does say only for 1 per household/subscriber, now to wait and see.

Of ozbargaingot a call from them yesterday. lady wanted to confirm that I had requested a free remote for such and such team. she said it will be posted in a few days.
Now that sounds promising, not holding my breath but I'll wait and see :)
I got home today to find an Essendon Bombers remote in the mail. And yes it was the free one from foxtel. So hopefully the remotes are on the way for everyone.

New here, Got a Essendon remote in the mail today, rang foxtel to confirm that I wouldn't be charged $49 for it, and yes, got it for free.

omg, just got a knock on the door and there it was a double whammy! both the foxtel remote plus the lacrosse battery charger arrived :-)
Ok, Got 2 remotes even when I only ordered one!
Lucky I read both enclosed letters. One said said that $49 has been added to my next bill! Called them. now I have to return one remote and pay for postage, wait for next bill to come to see if the $49 is removed from it :/Make sure they don't charge you, I've had bad experiences with foxtel, to the point of reversing charges thru my bank/credit card.
F me swinging, just got a second remote as well and this time its the correct team and a $49 charge!
On the blower to them now to have the charge reversed…..well apparently its already been reversed.
I could end up with two for nicks here because the first one I received was the wrong team so I dont know if this new one is my second order or the replacement.
Oh yay, remote just arrived. I didn't think I'd get it as others got it earlier in the week. Really pleased, couldn't read any of the writing on the old remote.
