Does this take a 18650 battery instead of the 3 x AAA?

    • Agreed…

Common Jv, you will have heaps or Lada or enelope everywhere around your house..

      • +2

        Luckily JV isn't that common.

      • +2

I now have heaps of 18650's

    • +2

I agree. Would have gotten one if it took a single AA, like the mini torches that used to be posted often. Too much hassle having to constantly recharge 3 AAA's, and certainly wouldn't use disposable ones.

  • Batteries AAA are included

The pictures show 2 different models. The green one is a different shape.

      Which one is it?

        I don't think Rep understands the question…

If the 3xAAA's are inserted into an adaptor that is identical in size to an 18650, like many other of these torches are…

Not a like-for-like comparison, but always thought these Bunnings torches represented pretty good value at $2.50. Includes batteries.

Only 100 Lumens off 4.5V - that's pretty ordinary. You can get a Convoy T2 for about $20 that puts out over 450 Lumens at that voltage.

    • Where can you reliably get that from?

About $24 at the current exchange rate with GST.

        • how long would it last on a single battery with 100% output?

          • @s1Lence: It won't stay on for very long at maximum output, as they're designed to auto-switch back to a lower setting after a while due to heat. But on 'high', (about 180 Lumens) you should still get over an hour.
