I'd second this. Own a T8 AIVI and recommended the Viomi to a mate. For the price difference AIVI isn't worth it
It is pretty easy to empty the robot .. i think i'll save the $299 for the Galaxy Fold 3 :)

FYI I recently bought this and started using it with mixed results.
On its first run it emptied ok. I had to trigger a second manual emptying to fully empty it.
On the second run the dust got stuck and wouldn’t empty. I had to manually empty it.
I have to manually empty it more than 50% of the time. The two openings in the bin seem to compete. So long hair etc just gets pulled between them and ends up clogging both. Poor design. Also it's super loud.
I have found using several ‘area cleans’ instead of one big clean has lowered the clogging of the deebot. e.g scheduling 3 or 4 areas to clean with 10 mins buffer time in between each one seems to work better. That way the robot comes back to the station and empties its bin more often, reducing larger dust build ups.
Users of T8 /T8AIVI, does the robot use dust bags? I was looking to buy the T8 and then realised it might be using dustbags which are a pain in the back. I currently use the N79T but am looking to upgrade to a robot with a mop. A simple bin which can be emptied is much cheaper than swapping dust bags.
It uses a container that you can empty quite easily. There are reviews on YouTube that might give you a better idea.
the robot uses a small container that you empty after each clean like most other robots. The autoempty station uses disposable bags which you can pick up cheaply on aliexpress and need to be changed once a month or so depending on the size/dirtyness of your floors.
No need for AIVI model unless you need to take photos whilst vacuuming.
The T8 does a good job of avoiding obstacles .. but like most robots, a bit of prep before vacuuming is a good idea.
