Budget Earbuds Recommendations

Good evening really confused there are so many God damn variations and brands out there.

Some are great for the loudest music others for the best call quality ANC

can someone give me their own feedback on budget ones like under $99 or even less?

I'm looking at a few kind of SoundPEATS and OPPO and heard about the latest baseus deal on eBay?

If people want to give their own personal reviews on sound quality loudness etc

  • I am looking to and wondered if ToZo on sale at amazon are any good?

    • Yes. very good value. I've got 2 of them (not the latest model, the one before that has wireless charging). via Amazon.

  • I got this SoundPEATS True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds in-Ear Stereo Bluetooth Headphones Wireless Earphones (Bluetooth 5.0, Built-in Mic, Stereo Calls, Total 35 Hours Playtime) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07JFFPG1Y/ref=pe_2361882_28238… which is decent.

I also got this Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds, TaoTronics Bluetooth Headphones True Wireless Earbuds IPX7 Waterproof Dual Built-in Mic Earphones with Bluetooth 5.0 3500m which I would not recommend as the Bluetooth connection to my phone can be patchy sometimes (not often, but it gets annoying after a while, especially when I have the soundpeats that fares much better in that area).

Both are comparable in terms of sounds quality, they are decent for their price. I found them adequate for my netflix/youtube watching during my commute. I don't use them often to make/receive phone calls.

    More details needed

    Wireless/bluetooth?
With a mic? I.e. do they need to be used for videoconferencing or just listening?
What are you listening to? Mostly music or voices?

FWIW I'm a semi professional musician and I use Shure 215 in-ears for listening to music. And can be doubled as on-stage monitor too! But it has no mic so not relevant if you need it for Zoom, Teams etc.

  • I've got the SoundPeats TrueFree+. Sound great to my "old" ears.

  • Got that baseus deal for about $17 delivered for my wife. She likes the battery indicator in the charging pack, and touch buttons, says quality is fine. No mic though. I've got a pair of QCYs which do the job.

My personal opinion is these wireless buds are convenient and small, but if I want quality and NC (and comfort, as I don't love in-ears) I'll grab my old QC35s

  • I've owned a pair of SoundPEATs TWS earbuds, they're not bad especially considering their price tag. Granted the pair I owned I bought a few years ago, it's still held up incredibly well; functions perfectly fine, and when I dropped it once or twice, it still worked perfectly.

Go to Scarbir.com and read his (or possibly her) reviews.
Pick out the features you care for and read through the top list for that category to find your ideal match.

I've got both Soundpeats TrueAir2 and FIIL T1 Lite both have very good sound quality and both sit comfortably for me. The FIIL Sound quality is superior, but they cost more in both dollars ($50 vs $40) and wait time (4 weeks vs 4 days).
According to reviews, the TrueAir2 should be better for audio and I use them at work for that purpose (as well as for music). The FIIL I have at home for music and the occasional call..

  • For best sound quality i'd recommend the KZ ZS10 Pros with the KZ AZ09 bluetooth receiver. Swap KZ ZS10 Pro for KZ ZSX if you prefer bass heavy music.

Not exactly "earbuds" but the sound quality will beat anything else in that price range.

For something more practical; SoundPeats for Jabra 65t

  • As others have stated, I had some QCYs that did the job. I did a lot of research when I lost one and decided to go with the Galaxy Buds. Gumtree had a new (still packaged) pair for $50. For a period, Samsung gave these away with some phones for free, thus there are a lot of secondhand and unused ones. The sound was marginally better than the QCYs, but the comfort and how well they stayed in your ears were the biggest improvements for me. They include small interchangeable fins that keep them from falling out and make them incredibly comfy. Because I didn't want to spend a lot of money, this was the best option for me.
