  • Thunderbolt 4

    TB4 is out?!

    • Yep. I have a Lenovo Legion 7 on its way with it.

      • Which one did you get ( config) and for how much, if you'd like to share please.

        • Legion 7i
          i9-11980HK
          32GB RAM
          1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD
          W10 Pro
          3080 16GB 165w

          $4,679.00

I'm a little worried about the RAM that comes with it. I have read that Lenovo has cheaped out on the RAM for the AMD units.

I plan to install a 4TB FireCuda 530 into the PCIe 4.0 when it is in stock and for a good price. I am thinking of putting an 8TB SSD in the other slot too but they are also expensive.

    • Out with the release of the 11th gen chips. TB4 is finally a proper, actually universal, USB. You can plug it into anything and it'll do exactly what it needs to. Display, data, charging, etc.

      • +1

wasn't that the case with tb3? the only issue being whether a usbc interface meant (a) tb3 and did everything or (b) not tb3 and thus a mix of display/data/charge/all 3?

      • Yep, right up until either TB4.1 inevitably comes out, or Apple decided to throw an extra proprietary feature onto their TB ports.

  • 0.5m

Isn't this too small for connection between laptop and monitor?

    • +13

Not if they're less than half a meter apart.

    • It's also available in 1m, 2m and 3m.

I simply linked the cheapest. If you read the post or checked the product page you would know.

      • Lenovo usb c cable is bit less
Same specs as Thunderbolt 3 but 1 meter long.

        • +3

Not the same specs as Thunderbolt 3 - the cable linked only supports 10Gbps data transfer, T3 supports 40.

  • Does it support super fast charging?

    • 100W bruh

  • It claims to have super fast charging but i tried theur other cables and it has been a let down. Slower than other cables.

    • Which cables?
