  • this phone has as much ram as my laptop

I got one, for some very odd reasons, I still find it sometimes lags a bit despite the fact it has a beast hardware. I guess that's just an android thing.

I should have gone with an iPhone XR instead.

That's a shame that you are having to compare this beast with an iPhone XR.

      • I completely agree with you. I have a Pocophone F1 so I guess I was an initial fan, they were sub $400 at the time. Generally a pretty weird experience with MIUI and touch response issues (which are still reported on newer devices)

The price though cannot be compared at all, an iPhone is significantly more expensive, apples to oranges really.

          apples to androids*

Thank you. I'll be here all week.

      • It's probably just the MIUI skin.

Yep, custom ROMs are what makes these devices great. If you're running MIUI you're missing out.

          • @reloxation: What's a good stable recommended custom ROM for Poco F1? Thanks

            • +1

@blue1ce39: Personally I have a Mi 9T Pro with EvolutionX, but having a quick browse over the XDA ROM forum for Poco F1 I'd say Evolution X or Pixel Experience. They're usually quite popular and get good development. Haven't had any personal experience with the Poco F1 though so I'd recommend looking over the XDA forums.

  • Contemplating 6GB or 8GB RAM variant atm…

    • 8GB in the name or future-proofing.

      • This phone has no SD card slot, 256gb of storage would be good for heavy users

  • Amazing device.

Not worth the extra US$50 unless you really need the space.

  • Bought POCO X3 Pro global version from Banggood a month ago, the phone has intermittent wifi connected but no internet issue, very annoying. Not sure if F3 has the same issue. Any comments from X3 or F3 owner?

    • I have the earlier X3 NFC without any WI-FI issues. Try using a different router and different bands eg 2.4ghz/5ghz to isolate the issue

      • Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. I am using optus supplied router for NBN boradband and TP link deco m5 mesh wifi. The phone connects to a 2.4G/5G network (there are 2 other separate networks for 2.4G and 5G) which has the best signal strength and internet speed (tested at speedtest.net) . No other in house devices connecting to the same wifi network, e.g. 4 other brand mobiles, tablets, PCs, has ever had any internet connection issue.

  • It doesn't mention free airdots 2. And price is $511

    • Discount on using app. But I used 4% cashrewards instead + first time user discount. Came down to like $485 for me.
