As you can see they have been putting it in systems for many many months.

This is not techfasts fault but it is a massive warning.

If the quoted failure rate is this bad across all batches, Gigabyte should have issued a recall by now.

    Scaremongering.

I have a pc from techfast with P750 PSU, can confirm no dramas to date after 16 or so months now.

    • same, no problems at all. running for 10 month now, non stop, 24/7 (you know what its doing).
      2x 3070 (otimized) & 3700x (optimized) = 350W constant load. I've got the 850W version. Maybe there was a bad batch.

If there really is some truth to it I will be the first to get in touch with techfast and get a different PSU, I dont want to roast my money making machine.

      • From the video, it affecting different batches, from last year until what they recently bought in May.
Yes, definitely not worth running it with risk of damaging GPUs.

Well not every PSU is going to fry itself, but it's enough over the normal amount to be a serious issue. It's not scaremongering, this is a serious issue even if it doesn't affect most users.

    • it's still a safety issue, even affects some PSUs. Although no issue so far for you, there is no guarantee it would have no issue down the road.

    • @TheMindsetTraveller, @AE, @Anyone: anyone able to prove that Techfast was innocent ?
I can't locate 'Gigabyte P750G' & it seems that they intentional listed wrong model # to MIS-lead.

  • I quizzed them about it once and they assured me that they've used it in thousands of builds without issue so far. Their generic Allied PSUs however are certainly a problem it seems.

  • Well that's concerning. Especially since it can fail and take out your GPU with it (allegedly)

  • So gigabyte are now replacing units in the affected serial range. I've checked my psu, from techfast, and it is impacted. Do I seek an exchange from techfast?

    • You should probably email them and ask

OP please put this in description, it's an update from Gamers Nexus, and lowering down opp is not a permanent fix.
Should refund or exchange to another model unless Gigabyte changes design.
