I just bought a new laptop and need to Microsoft Office. My friend recommended me to search on FB Marketplace. I surprised I found quite a few Office 365 for lifetime $35s.
Is this legit?
Thank you
Buying Microsoft Office 365 from Facebook? What's the catch?

Didn't think 365 had keys? Isn't this just emails added to an account? So you don't own 365 just sharing it.

Your right. Got tired and thought OP was talking about Windows 10 Keys.
Anyways the account can be disabled by Microsoft.
Also the admin can access everyone's email, one drive, live location and documents.ypu mean in 365 admin can access one drive, documents etc ?
@ChipsChicky: Yes. The admin can reset your password to gain access to your account. They can also perform an audit if they want to be discrete.
@No Username: I think this isn't true
Can the person who's sharing with me see my files? Can I see their files?
No. Your files always remain private and so do theirs. This includes kids in a family group as well.

@ChipsChicky: But what's stopping the admin from resetting your login details to gain access?
What your referencing is a family plan.
Most of these deals are A1 plan hence "lifetime".
@No Username: Family Plans shared in ozbargain are safe imho.
@ChipsChicky: I know, but the one advertised for $35 lifetime is not. Family plan and Business plans are two seperate things. Family plans on OzBargain require monthly or annual payments.
And correct me if I am wrong, Office 365 is subcribtion based software? I dont understand how the seller could me lifetime license with 5TB, new email address etc
Technically it can be lifetime as long as the domain does not get blacklisted by Microsoft. At my workplace I can deploy as many accounts as I want with maximum of 4TB per user.
If it is for work, the home use progam, you maybe able to get it at discounted price, check if you are eligible https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/home-use-program/resources
Someone is selling you an "account" in their Office 365 subscription. This means that if you use that account for email then they can access your emails without you knowing, if you use OneDrive again… they can access your files without you knowing and if you've gone and downloaded the Office apps what do you think they can access? All the documents you open/create within Word, Excel etc.
Don't do it. It's not safe.
Thanks, it sounds too good to be true. I avoid it
All the documents you open/create within Word, Excel etc.
Is this the same if you are using your legitimate work/school Office 365 instance on your private (i.e. non-work/school) computer? Can they actually see everything you create that is not stored in your OneDrive?
Nah it's stuff stored in OneDrive/Sharepoint. People tend to save documents not realising it's going there when they're running Microsoft 365.
Microsoft Does not sell lifetime licence anymore, It used to sell it for like those older offices like 2008 or something, But why you even need it ? If you are a student simply download from your institution its free. If you are not a student you can choose open software's like open office or libra office, or google docs, OR EVEN MICROSOFT OFFICE (ONLINE IS FREE, you only need to pay for offline versions).
Or if you really wanna go cheap there's no other cheaper way than Pi**tebay
Can the person who's sharing with me see my files? Can I see their files?
No. Your files always remain private and so do theirs. This includes kids in a family group as well.

Scammers aren't reselling MS Home subs - they're selling licenses on a corporate account, which includes fun features such as eDiscovery which lets administrators search across all Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive accounts, etc.
Don't do it. It's a scammer reselling licenses from a Microsoft 365 corporate subscription, most likely set up with stolen credit cards (hence why they're selling it for pennies on the dollar).
Best case: Microsoft figures out the sham corporation is using stolen CCs and cancels the entire account, and you lose your subscription and your money.
Worst case: A tech savvy scammer can utilise their administrator tools to exfiltrate your data (e.g. using eDiscovery to trawl through your mailbox and OneDrive). Remember that in this arrangement, Microsoft thinks you are in a corporation and that you work for the scammer…
A dead giveaway for this type of scam is if the scammer issues you an email address at some weird looking domain (e.g. [email protected]). A legitimate, non-corporate subscription will always come with an @microsoft.com or @outlook.com email address or will let you use your existing email address.

You are the catch. Office is the bait.
No. The seller just sells the same key over and over until it gets blocked. These keys are normally for developers or Microsoft partners but are often abused and resold.
