4K 120hz TV for PC Gaming over 65 Inches - Budget $2000

What 4k TV do you guys recommend for gaming for 4k 120 fps for pc and console but mainly PC like 99% pc usage probably and very little console usage if any at all. Anything above 60 inches I'm looking at up to 85 inches. Realistically the sweet spot so 70/75 inches. I can fit up to 200 inches though lol.

So yeah what TV do you recommend?

Will be moving from a 40 inch 4k60hz Korean crossover 404k monitor and I only have PC for now but always open to consoles for games, VR, friends, new platform etc.

Budget is realistically somewhere around $1000-$2000 but I'm aiming for $1500 or lower because I'm not too fussed just don't want it washed out really which is bottom tier stuff.

Edit - if you can try add estimate prices for your recommendations for 70/75 inches

LG OLED or Sony X90 series LCD are really your only options.

    • Just giving another option, certain Samsung QLED TVs also support HDMI 3.1.

    • What are good solid price points to wait for for around the 70-75 inch size

    Inb4: budget $500.

    • Nah I can spend a bit more

      Budget is $510.

  • From what I've seen, LG OLED TVs are the only ones with multiple HDMI 3.1 ports. Pretty sure the Samsung QLED and Sony TVs with HDMI 3.1 support have a max of 1 HDMI 3.1 port. In case it's important for you to not have to switch which device is plugged into the 3.1 port.

    • What's HDMI 3.1?

      • made a mistake, meant HDMI 2.1

      • If you have to ask you are gonna have to come with me

  • I would go the 65C1 OLED some cracking good deals for it lately, I'm looking to get the 77C1 soon, rtings rate it as the best tv on the market out of the lot of them for price and Performance

    • What price and size is this available in

      • I didn't read your price range this one is double that 😅
        Sorry chief

        • Oh damn haha no worries yeah trying not to break the bank on this one I just want a game able 75 inch 4k screen that is not washed out or have frame rate issues.. Doesn't need to be super high tech or flash just meet a half decent standard.

I won't play much but I don't want 4k gaming to look bad also. Honestly I will probably be using it more for Netflix and live TV mostly and maybe only a few old games in 4k in pc.

    HDMI 2.1. Not 3.1 - 2.1

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Version_2.1

So HDMI 2.1 supports 4K at 120hz, which means that any monitor or TV that you buy, must have this if you want to play at or up to 120 fps on your PC.

Ensure that your GPU supports HDMI 2.1 as well, so this is a very small amount of GPUs, so if you've got that covered, cool, but if not keep that in mind as even some of the generation just gone GPUs on the used market will be able to do 4K@120hz, but only via DisplayPort, not HDMI as the HDMI will only be 2.0 (4k@60hz).

OLED is a great choice because it has low screen latency inherent in it's technology, but it's not a must have, it's just a common choice, but they're very expensive, especially at the 70+ inches that you're after.

This list gives you a start for some of the panels that apparently support HDMI 2.1

    • Damn hmm I guess I can't really get above 60hz then unless I build a new pc soon.

I only get above 120hz in some low demanding games tbh or if I play at 1080p.

I do want to future proof my next screen purchase as my current screen is good for current needs.

What TV's do you recommend between 70-75 inches

      • On 4k TVs you can run them at 1440p which still look good and allow you to have decent frame rates compared to natively running at 4k if your card can even output at that res

        • I think I will do this as the resolution drop for a framerate gain will I think be worth it on a big screen.

I am definitely leaning more towards 75 inch honestly though if there was a 85 inch with ok picture quality and not washed out I would pick it as I really prefer larger screens and want to try and fill out my wall as I have a large large room for all this
