I am hosting with ServerGalore. I want to understand how will it affect SEO on my website? I did use GTMetrix and It ranked F, Performance at 42% and Structure at 62. Although my website is relatively new and person developing it has concluded it to be hosting (one of many factors) which could play a negative role. He is suggesting me to go with other providers such Siteground

Structure of my website is quite simple. It has 5 pages and each page has some information and images. Structure as in layout/UI, right?
Mod: Removed 3rd party website.
GTMetrix performs its testing from Canada by default, whereas ServersGalore have their servers in Australia. Depending on how complicated your website is (especially the number of blocking Javascripts), doing tests half way across the globe might give you pretty bad performance.
You can also do the basic Lighthouse test from within your own browser (on Chrome, Ctrl-Shift-I to get the Developer Tools and then Lighthouse menu item).
I'll do the lighthouse test tomorrow :-)
GTMetrix appears to use Lighthouse for performance testing. Although latency will not make the comparison meaningful, you can compare it with sites that are located in the same region as your server. From quick checks, F may not be as bad as it sounds as seeing some popular sites with E. Ozbargain shows as C which is still an excellent result even considering their server is in the nearby region! You can also try checking via this Google tool https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
Sure, I'll check the link tomorrow at office. also, my website is very basic with limited information. it just had 5 pages and each page has an image and yes, your absolutely correct about ranking as first ranking website is rated C on GTmatrix

Website speed is only a minor component of SEO. As long as the website feels quick and responsive when you browse that's good enough for now.
Focus on good on and off page SEO. That's where the reals gains are made in rankings.
Sorry, what are on and off pages?
It's the basics of SEO. The content that is on your website and how it relates to what people are searching for, and how other websites link to yours.

Hi, SEO is very complicated and it's very difficult to know the exact factors that go into Google search rankings. At the moment, I can see that all of our nodes are running without issues. If you open a support ticket, I can have a look to see if there is anything going on with your domain.
Generally, you can find valuable information from PageSpeed Insights (and others like it) to help speed up your site. As others stated, there are many factors that go into Web Hosting and SEO ranking but I am happy to see if there are any issues :)
Regards,
Nathan
there could be lots of factors.
are you mainly relying on google for traffic? or other sources?
Follow the tips sites like gtmetrix recommend and google speed tests etc.
Hosting will play a part, but its likely the structure of your site more than anything.
