  • I bought this power bank from a previous deal and i have noticed that superfast charging is not constant with a Samsung s20 or s21 ultra, it keeps going back to cable charging. Anyone else facing the same issue?

    • What cable are you using? You'll want to make sure it's an e-mark cable like what's included with the power bank or with the phone.

      • Tried using baseus cable which comes with the power bank and also samsung type c cable but same result.

    • +1

S20 and S21 Ultra only charge at 9V. So with this powerbank, it will only do 27W at most. If it drops too far, then it will only show as cable charging which is 9V/2A.

      • If you read through the listing it actually says "Supports Samsung S20 ultra 45w quick charge" which suggests it has PPS although not mentioned on any of the specs.

        • Yes, that's the reason i bought it after reading about it supports samsung pps charging.

        • +1

No, even if the powerbank supports PPS, the S20 Ultra doesn't use proper USB-PD PPS protocols to charge, only 9V. I've connected a TC66 USB tester to determine how the S20 charges, and the only way it will do 45W is through Samsung's own 45W travel charger, as the phone uses an extended 9V/5A protocol from Samsung's AFC to charge at 45W.

Samsung's own 45W travel charger is USB-PD compliant as it will charge at up to 20V as tested on my Surface Pro, but the S20 Ultra phone itself doesn't support any higher than 9V charging.

    • I have an s20fe and i have similar issue even with my normal chargers (not 25w as I'm still waiting for it to be delivered) at times it may even say fast charging, but if i use ampere it is only hovering around 500mah. It hasn't been an issue as I've just charged it overnight, but i can see it being an issue when i want to go out again and need a quick charge but it only does "cable charging" (2 hours 45min according to the phone) with 14% battery.

any idea how this will be with iphone 13 going on potential features?

  • Is the code expired? When I go into checkout it shows postage costs about $16 since I can only get the express shipping option
