I've seen a few posts around here discussing various standing desks & frame options. I'm keen get a frame only and DIY tabletop as there are plenty of good options from Ikea, Bunnings, DIY from coated Plywood suppliers, etc. but wondering if anyone has experience with the options at various price points?
- Linak Kick and Click Economy Kit Frame (e.g. https://www.sittostanddesks.com.au/heightadjustabledesksshop…) - $673 with LCD display + memory option, european design (make the Ikea motors, well known quality supplier). 5YR warranty
- Lazy Maisons Motorised Electric Height Adjustable Standing Desk 80KG Dual Motor (e.g. https://lazymaisons.com.au/collections/sit-standing-desks/pr…) - $335, looks like JieCang manufactured. 5YR warranty. Reasonably well reviewed.
- Other various other options around the ~250-350 mark (such as Artiss, no name brands with but look like they all have the same manufacturer), bargains posted here
Are these cheaper options just simply good value for money now due to mass production or is it worth forking out double the price for a higher end manufacturer? Do you actually get better quality, stability, durability, etc?
i got one of these a few years ago off ebay and it is still going strong.
