  • These look alright, assume best gym activities, dinner court sports, light/casual walking (aka cross trainers). Sizing should be the same as Pegasus right?

  • Reviews seem ok but few possible issues with heel slip and whether they would hold up outdoors, anyone know about them?

Most Nikes are fairly narrow anyway but that's something else to consider.

    Cheers,

my experience with most nikes i've ever had (with exception of the sb janoski max) seem to have a hard rubber compound on the outsole that makes walking on wet surfaces a bit sketchy, especially if it's tile or concrete. my bald kayano 25s do better in the wet lol.

probably best to see if you can find these in-store somewhere and have a look at the sole.

Yeah sounds like they are a bit slippery in the wet but already got some Pegasus and few ultraboosts if i did want to go running outside.
Was just considering returning a pair of Jordan Jump Man's that were a similar price as I may not need dedicated bball shoes, just something for gym, walking and knock about on the bball/tennis court like these. The Metcons would be a similar thing no doubt. Bit of ankle support is nice with mid cuts.

this! i wish they made kayanos in mid cuts haha

@tdw: Yeah had se awesome mid cut tennis shoes back in the day (air tech challenge)

  • Help me, I'm stupid - Is there much of a difference between $100 Nike trainers and $300 Nike trainers?

    • it really depends on the specs, fit and what sort of discount you're getting. also important: what are you wearing them for? if it's just casual use like doing the shopping, obviously don't bother with something like those over-priced, squeaky AF vapormax.

  • Was talking to someone at rebel, reckons the metcons would be a lot better, none on sale really. The 7s seem pretty hard and not recommended for any running, may see if DFO has the 6s which have a bit more cushioning, but mostly for gym work and general stuff. Worth being able to try stuff on

  • Ended up getting some metcons cheap from DFO, they had a pair of super reps I tried as well (not sure if same exact model), too soft and squishy, not very stable.
