I was wondering if any of you purchase gold/silver bullion. I currently buy from ainsliebullion.com.au, they're a really good company but my only problem is shipping costs about $35 everytime I order a couple of kilos to my door as I live in Sydney. I was wondering if any of you deal with any good reputable dealers where I can save on shipping costs.

No but this is ozbargain and if I can find it cheaper then… $35 is better in my pocket if I can go pick it up.

Perth Mint are reliable, but they are more expensive. I don't take delivery, but get them to hold it in unallocated bars.
Perth Mint are guaranteed by the WA Govt so possibly no need for insurance. If you open up an unallocated PMDS account with c$50k there are no storage fees.

considering that a kg of gold is like $50k and silver is $1k. if you order a couple of kilos which for arguments sake is being only silver and you buy $5k of it, is $35 shipping that unreasonable to stop it from being stolen or something?
i dont know how these things work so just wondering
