True Wireless Earbuds without Silicon Ear Tips

I am looking for some affordable true wireless earbuds that do not have the rubber/silicon ear tips that make them "in-ear". There seem to have been a few recommendation topics but I don't want the ear-tips even if they improve sound or make them fit better. Something along the lines of the original airpods, though I have an android and I don't want something that expensive.

I tried the soundpeats trueair 2 and they were fine except that I encountered a lot of bluetooth dropouts even went sitting at my desk with the phone sitting on the desk. I would want something that has a reasonable connection strength and little/no dropouts even in possibly wirelessly congested areas such as walking on the street.

Not too concerned with battery life as long as it is a few hours and the charging case provides more.

If you have any earbud that you've used for a while and haven't had any connection issues with, please let me know!

    Samsung buds live, they were on sale for $150 a week ago, might still be on sale at jb hifi. They do not violate your ear holes and you can still hear your surroundings while wearing them.

    I've had a set of Trueair 2 for 6 months and never had any issues. I've even dropped them a few times while running.

    Any time you buy a cheap import like this you tend you either get a good set or a bad set.

    I have Trueair2 buds and they are fantastic, rock solid connection with my laptop and phone. It isn't until I walk outside the house that I lose connection. Your sure the issue isn't your phone?

      I have some Sennheiser HD 4.50BTNC that work flawlessly on my phone with virtually no dropouts with my S20+.

      The largest issue I had with Trueair2 was the connection between the two earbuds dropping out, losing one channel of audio for 1-3 seconds at a time, and occasional full audio drops on both. I doubt it is my phone. I may have a faulty pair of Trueair2s, but the reviews seem to indicate that this is somewhat of a common problem for a lot of people.

        OP, you might wanna contact the seller for a replacement. I've had a similar issue on the Truair 1 and they replaced it, as it was still under the 12 month warranty.

    Maybe the Xiaomi AirDots Pro Air 2? They're pretty cheap, can get them for $25 on eBay. Probably cheaper on AliExpress.

    Taotronics have a couple of pairs with a similar style to the Trueair 2, so maybe try them to see if they have a better connection?

    Check out the oneplus buds. On Kogan for $99.70. They don't sit in the ear as well as airpods but for the price they are pretty good.
