Any pork crackle fiends here on OzB?
Have the craving for something salty. Cheapest I could find was this which works out to be $5.50 per 100g..! Unseasoned, I know, but add your own flavouring or have it plain should you wish!
Pig out and enjoy

worth noting most of the wooloworths stuff is cooked in canola oils etc, which is a bad idea to eat in volume like on keto.
That's a pretty good price for crackle which is cooked in lard. Most are cooked in seed oils.
Haven’t tried it cooked in lard to be honest. Any good?
Not sure actually, I've wanted to try some, but it seems to be very expensive so I haven't bothered.
Has anyone tried this and can comment on taste?
Chicken, tastes like chicken! :)
Any with Gluten?
Happy to report that these taste pretty good!
What did you season with??
It's pretty good on its own. I have some Deliciou Bacon seasoning on hand so have been using that too.
I bought the flavoured one as well, also great.
What did you think? What's your fave pork crackle?
I liked it. But if you’re asking what’s my favourite, it’s my local Vietnamese bakery that has them in their Bain-Marie
@bemybubble: Ooh Vietnamese bakery.. wouldn't have thought they'd have that
$55.50/kg isn't good value unless you absolutely need unseasoned IMO, pork crackle in 50g packets from Colesworth run $40-45/kg and can get range of flavours to keep it interesting. Plain old unseasoned pork crackle isn't really good tasting, needs salt.
