    Can I chkdsk copy files?

    Not for free

    Where is the bargain?

    • +1

Its like this is an announcement that its not going to be available soon, and that way you can save your money as you will not be able to buy it.

  • +4

Grab it just to play the one of the best RPGs ever made, Ultima 4.

      HEALTH? I am doing well.
JOB? I know much of the Codex!
CODEX? The shrine ankh knows how to enter the chamber of the Codex!
ABYSS? Meditate at the shrines of honesty, compassion and valor for 3 cycles to know how to enter!

      • Damn, Hardly ever hear people talk about the Ultima games these days. I never played ultima 4, but surely it cant have been better than Ultima 7 Black Gate and pt2 Serpent Isle?

        • Storyline of U4 was much more engaging for me…
A lot of people's seem to dislike the way U7 did isometric.

          • @blackfrancis75: I loved it, I still go back and play the U7 games every couple of years using Exult. I was always hoping Richard Garriott would do a remake of them, but i guess that wont happen. Origin and Buillfrog had so many awesome game worlds that hve just died out (well, i guess we are getting a system shock remake, so thats cool).

What’s the bargain here? Isn’t this the normal price?

    • -5

You won’t be able to buy it for this price very soon, or anything like it.

Think of it as a run out deal.

      • +3

Cool, but that’s not a deal.

Edit - also this has 13 reviews and and average score of 3.2/5

      • Think of it as a run out deal.

That logic can’t be applied to a subscription based product. In this case, it’s also likely to have high chance of “no longer works” from iOS 15 (as others have already pointed out), it’s also not worth more money later on and you can’t resell it.

      • You won’t be able to buy it for this price very soon, or anything like it.

Think of it as a run out deal.

That is not a valid argument for making this a deal.

It's fine to post this as a Forum Topic, but not as a deal.

    This should be free.

Will this run on a Mac emulator on my Win 10 machine?

  • +7

Normal price. If you delete it you might not be able to get it back, depending on how Apple handle it.

On another note - when iOS offloads an app (assuming you’ve got the setting on to save space), what happens when you then try and re-download an app that’s been pulled from the App Store?

    • You can't

    • I've had some old apps that stayed in the account (cloud?, but can't be found in the store), YMMV.

However, when iOS updates the app may just stop working all together. (e.g. not compatible with version of iOS).

      • Yeah I’ve done a bit of reading and if it’s been pulled but it still works on your ios you can still download it from your purchased app section. However as soon as ios updates to 15 in the next couple of months this will most likely be toast.

        • the app author should make it free, in this case :)

  • Bad command or file name

  • +2

Normal Price, lack of support when it gets pulled and iOS 15 approaching it may cease to function.

  • It’s no deal. Where’s is the bargain? Apple may pull it from the App Store anytime. Once it’s gone, probably can’t be downloaded again.

  • Apple don’t like emulators running arbitrary code.
I looked at this app last year, and there was no way to load apps.
It now supports loading binaries from the Files app. This is pretty useful if you want to run DOS apps on an ipad, and I am not aware of any alternative that allows you to choose the app (there are some apps that package up dosbox and an app binary with no way to run other apps).

When Apple pulls it, it should still work indefinitely, but future iOS updates might introduce incompatibilities that stop it working

This is a forum post not a bargain.

Looks like more of a forum post to me…

  • No deal

  • I remember getting the MAME iOS app before it was pulled and still use it today on my first gen iPad

The MAME app was free too

  • Does this run DOS based SNES emulators well?

    • I'm going to run Super Game Boy games on a SNES emulator on this emulator running on an iOS emulator for Windows running on a virtual machine on my Mac.

      • Inception.
        That'd be slow.

  • Anyone else thought of washing machine when they saw the title…?

  • This post is really showing my age 🥴

  • Meh, forum post

  • Since they're gonna pull it soon, the dev should have made it free IMO
