Im always wondering where Woolworths process and send the online orders from? I would assume it's not from your nearest suburb branch but processed centrally direct from their warehouse?

Yes, it is from one of your local woolworths supermarkets..
You can also ask the driver which one it specifically is, next time that you receive an order from one..

I've worked at Woolworths as a 'personal shopper'. It depends where you're located, most orders come from normal stores but larger fulfillment warehouses service the busiest areas.
yeah that was my understanding. If there's a distribution centre near you, your delivery orders are from there.
You can usually tell if you find some items that are available for delivery but not for pickup (or vice versa); although that's not always the case.
When you shop in store you'll see order pickers. I presume it's most efficient to go from there to nearest orders (that is, the ones that selected that store as their local).
On northern beaches they come from the dark store in brookvale.
So if your store happens to be small store with minimal staff, then they must be flat out with orders then?
In Sydney anyway, a massive Woolworths wharehouse located at Mascot, services only online orders.
